2nd Annual Pups in the Park

September 14, 2025

For this year’s Pups in the Park, we worked with Northern Lakes Rescue. They are a foster-based rescue that works in central and northern Minnesota with dogs. This year, we were at Lum Park in Brainerd and had a great response. The silent auction sold out, the pie-eating contests for dogs and kids had fierce competition, the costume contest brought out some great creativity, the food was yummy, we learned a ton from the different trainers in the area, and the vendors all came out! We appreciated all the community support that goes into holding an event like this. We look forward to seeing you next year 😊.

Pick A Mile Roadside Clean Up

This year, our amazing staff has volunteered to join the Crow Wing County Pick A Mile Roadside Clean Up. This program helps to keep our beautiful county roads clear of debris and safe for all to enjoy. We will be out there twice a year cleaning up a section of County Road 48. Customer Appreciation and 55th Anniversary Celebration!

With our clinic being a lakes area staple for 55 years, we decided to have a day of fun and treats to celebrate our amazing clients! We had a blast with games, give aways, and prizes. Also the ice cream social was a hit with tons of toppings to choose from for people and dogs! We did try for a cake to thank Dr. Dutton for keeping up this great tradition of running our clinic but that fell in the grass, just adding to the memories for the day :) We have also started a pet memorial wall so people in the area can have a place to memorialize their loved ones.

Brainerd Lakes Pride in the Park

We supported our local Pride chapter this year during their annual Pride in the Park event at Gregory Park. We had games available to kids and dogs with proceeds donated to the chapter. We also put together some fun baskets for their silent auction.

1st Annual Pups in the Park

This community event was held to raise money for a local animal shelter Heartland Animal Rescue Team (HART). We invited local vendors and craftsmen to join us who all donated a portion of their sales. We had carnival games setup for two and four legged family members to play with all proceeds donated. Through generous donations from local businesses, we hosted an online auction and bake sale. With the efforts of local volunteers, we raised about $2,000 for HART!
